Part Three of the Stages of a Marriage is:
Stabilization: This stage is marked by an ability to maintain a healthy relationship; to be able to hold one’s partner in a balance of closeness, but also giving him/her freedom to be individual. It’s a sometimes difficult and often a fun dance. I like to describe this visually by touching the fingers of both my hands to each other; stating that there are many points by which we touch and connect with each other. But also there are gaps in those touch points, gaps which allow individuality. The stabilized relationship keep the “fingers” touching; seldom separating, but also loosely holding each other in a loving way.
Possibly you know of a marriage that has suffered from an infidelity. Likely that marriage could benefit from our Infidelity Recovery Weekend on June 28-30 at the Marriott Courtyard in Chico, California. To register, go to www.BetterMarriageToday.com
