Our Counseling Services
Chico Creek Counseling provides a wide range of counseling services for individuals, children, couples and families.
We Work With Individuals, Children, Couples, and Families.
Relationships can be a source of great joy or great pain. We’re here to walk you through those difficult times in your relationship. When needed, we can help find effective communication tools and set up guidelines for working through conflict and transitions in your relationships.
Nobody experiences hardships in the same way. For this reason, we tailor each individual counseling session to your specific needs by listening, walking you through counseling strategies, and providing emotional tools to navigate through your life’s challenges.
Raising a child can be one of life’s most challenging hurdles. Our goal is to listen effectively so that your child can communicate what is important to them. We offer our assistance to sort out hurts, problems, and any issues that may be of hindrance for you or your child.
While these are the most common reasons we see clients, this is not an exhaustive list. If you have an inquiry about your personal needs, feel free to “Ask About Something Different” below.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does counseling help?
Counseling allows a deeper look into your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors while providing the tools necessary to grow through your hardships.
When should I go to counseling?
While there is no perfect time to seek help, you should go to counseling if you are experiencing emotional or relational hardships that take up more than an hour of your day.
How much does counseling cost?
Counseling fees vary depending on who you see. Associate therapists charge $130 for the first session and $100 for every session thereafter. Licensed therapists charge $140 for every session.
How long does counseling take to work?
Counseling can begin helping within the first couple of sessions, and on average lasts 15-20 sessions. Ultimately, it depends on you and your therapist.
Do you offer online sessions? What are the pros and cons of online sessions?
We offer online counseling via TeleHealth. Doing therapy online allows personal growth from anywhere, offering comfort and protection for at-risk individuals and convenience for those with busy individuals. Telehealth may not be ideal for individuals with more serious afflictions.
What insurance do you take?
Currently, we are directly in-network with MediCal through California Health and Wellness, and Anthem Blue Cross.
We can bill most other insurance, but your deductible MUST be met before insurance will provide a co-pay. Alternatively, we can provide a superbill to give to your insurance company for reimbursement.
