It is easy to find yourself overwhelmed by different emotions, challenges, and by life itself. At times, an event occurred that led you to this point. Other times, many events build up over years. Either way, overwhelm leads you to respond to life as not your best self and you find yourself struggling. The simple fact you are seeking help should give you great hope that you are capable to work through the life difficulties you face.
My caring, non-judgmental approach is client centered and strength-based. Meaning, we will work together to find ways to help you become your best self, feel less overwhelmed, and better able to manage your life in a more positive manner.
Experience
Since graduating from California State University, Chico, with my Masters Degree in Psychology in 1998, I have worked in many non-profit agencies throughout Butte County. In these roles, I have gained experience working with children, teens, families, and individuals who have experienced traumas, anxiety, depression, and faced many other challenges. I have been a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist since 2005, and am trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and play therapy.
About Me
Due to my father being in the military, I lived many places within the United States throughout my childhood. I came to Butte County in 1993 to complete my Bachelors Degree, and now call Butte County my home. I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, extended family, and friends. In my spare time, I love to read, watch movies, and spend time outdoors.
