On our journey through life we sometimes encounter situations that are complex, challenging and difficult to manage on our own. Sometimes the chaos of navigating relationships, friendships, parenting, careers, school and our own personal life histories can be difficult and we need help finding the path that feels best for us.
My passion for therapy includes assisting individuals to prioritize their pursuit of happiness, well-being, and mental health by using a strength based model. My focus in treatment has been working with children, families and individuals to develop a space in their life where they can explore fulfillment and tap into the wealth of their own abundance.
My Experience
I have been practicing therapy for the last 10 years with a focus in mental health service for children and families at a nonprofit agency.
My therapeutic style includes a collaborative working method with individuals, families and children to help them find what they need to live authentic and nourished lives.
My area of expertise and experience, includes working with single parents, blended families, two parent families, children and individuals with a variety of needs from coaching support to more severe mental health concerns. In my practice, I focus on using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and self-esteem enhancements methods. I provide supportive treatment for anxiety, depression, opposition & defiance, trauma, focusing issues, improving communication patterns and supporting nurturing/bonding relationships between parent and child.
About Me
I am a third generation native of Chico, California, and graduated from the beautiful educational institute of California State University, Chico with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work. Apart from the love of my professional work, I find joy in being outdoors, exploring beautiful coasts, surrounding myself in nature, kayaking in lakes and streams, gardening, listening and dancing to music, and spending time with my beautiful daughter, beloved fur-family, wonderful family, and cherished friends. From me you can expect a genuine, caring, and compassionate therapist who instills hope and a firm belief that, in recovery and healing, there is transcendence to your emotional and mental health and well-being.
