I love a lot of things about being a therapist, but my favorite part hands down is building the therapeutic relationship. My approach includes believing in you whole-heartedly, seeing you for the unique human that you are, and using a method that combines many areas of therapy to help relieve the burden that is bringing you into the room.
Experience and Training
For the past two years I have been learning a method that combines, relational therapy, object relations therapy and solution focused therapy to treat personality disorders. It is also useful in treating negative self-talk, low self-worth, and relationship challenges. Additionally, I am deepening my knowledge of attachment based and trauma informed methods.
I graduated from Chico State with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Multi-Cultural and Gender Studies in 2016. My favorite thing about both programs was learning about the innate strength and resilience that each person carries within them. Shortly after, I completed a master’s degree in Social Work and began working with awesome humans like you. I have experience working with domestic violence, mental health crises, personality disorders, and anxiety. I also have a growing knowledge base working with people experiencing ADHD challenges.
I am from a small Northern California town in Siskiyou County. I have lived in Chico for the last several years and find new things to love about it all the time. I love to read, eat, spend time with my loved ones (including my dog!) and find a balance between getting sunshine and watching Netflix.
