Jessica joined Chico Creek Counseling September 2019 and is excited to partner with individuals, families, and couples on their journey to self discovery, healing, and developing meaningful connections.
Experience & Specialties
Jessica has experience helping clients navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, anger management, trauma, life transitions, and grief and loss.
Before Chico Creek Counseling, she worked in school-based counseling for six years. There she helped children and teens identify goals, develop coping skills, manage behavioral issues, and collaborate with parents and guardians to maintain progress at home and at school.
She spent two years working with children with autism and their families, using ABA Therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) to identify and develop ways to cope with harmful behaviors, increase communication skills, and navigate social relationships.
When working with her clients Jessica utilizes various techniques and interventions rooted in Client-Centered approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. She values assisting clients’ in discovering and identifying their needs and goals in order to tailor a therapy process that supports and assists in their journey.
Jessica is from Southern California and has lived in Chico for the past four years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. Jessica is currently licensed as a Marriage Family Therapist.
