****Now offering EMDR****

Sometimes life throws us challenges that leave us feeling exhausted, alone, or hurt. We can feel hopeless trying to overcome them without support. I am passionate about working collaboratively with individuals, couples, families, and children to assist in overcoming obstacles that get in the way of reaching personal goals, aspirations, or full potential. It is my commitment to treat each of my clients with compassion and respect. I value individual uniqueness and understand that no two people are identical. Because of this, I utilize a person-centered, individualized approach to encourage each of my clients to tune in to their strengths and find coping strategies that are right for them.
Experience
In 2016, I received my Bachelor of Art’s degree in Psychology with a child and family life emphasis from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. In 2018, I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy, also from Azusa Pacific University. Before moving to Chico, I worked for a community-based, non-profit organization providing individual, family, and group therapy for a wide range of issues including anxiety, mood disorders, traumatic stress, substance abuse, grief and loss, relational conflict, and transitional difficulties.
I have been trained in cultural competency, suicide prevention, substance abuse, pre-marital and marital counseling, and trauma-sensitive therapy. I also have experience integrating spirituality in therapy when desired by my clients to ensure that the work we do together is congruent with their values and beliefs.
Personal Info
Before moving to Chico in early 2019, I spent most of my life living in Southern California. My fiancé is a local native to Chico and upon bringing me to visit his hometown, I immediately fell in love with the community, knowing it would be a place I would eventually call home. In my free time, I enjoy engaging in outdoor activities, art, and spending time with my energetic cats, Solis and Luna.
