Hello! My name is Nicole Pang. I work with young children and adolescents and specialize in anxiety disorders, ASD, PTSD, and childhood trauma. Additionally, I have training in Suicide prevention/postvention and self-harm. My approach is client centered and trauma-focused with a strengths-based perspective.
I have worked with young children and families in the school system for over twenty years. At the start, I taught preschool in San Jose but moved up to Chico in 2001. My 14-year career began with Chico Unified School District (CUSD). There, I worked with special needs children at the preschool and elementary levels. While employed with CUSD, I acquired my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Butte College, and went on to earn both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Chico State. I also attended Sacramento State and completed my Pupil Personnel Services Credential to work as a Social Worker in schools.
Originally, I am from San Jose, California and still have many family and friends that I visit often. I have lived in Chico since 2001. I love spending time outdoors and exploring new sights with my three young children. When I am indoors, I enjoy reading, watching movies with my kids, and spending time with my fur babies (cats, guinea pigs, and a hamster).
